The gift of handmade

Type Kita

Last weekend, I was one of the lucky artists invited to have a piece on display at Type Kita 2! All the pieces were for sale, and part of the proceeds went to help Heart School. There were so many lovely pieces, I wanted to scoop them all up in my arms and run for home.

This was my piece.

Then we had a custom cookie corner, where I painted some messages on sugar cookies:

We sold a new kit we have, an embroidery ornament kit. These are so quick to stitch up, and so pretty in person!

Here’s Ina stitching up her zines. We gave out free granola bars wrapped up in custom wrappers, and her little recipe zines with another free granola bar sold out completely.

Our little Positivity Banners sold out as well.

We had Lemon Choco Chip Cake (hands down my favorite cake).

We shared a stall with our good friend Hannah, who sold her own custom Signetura items and made all our little price tags and impromptu calling cards.

The cookie painting was non-stop and went on for hours, so long that I didn’t catch any vendors at all! I’m gonna have to buy my nibs some other time.

We had a few other new kits, that we’ll show on the blog in the coming weeks. They’d make great holiday gifts for some little crafters in your life.

Thanks for having us, Type Kita! We’re already looking forward to the next one.
